Firstly, What is Respite Care?
Caregivers can often find themselves putting the wellbeing and interests of their loved ones ahead of their own. They care for their loved ones 24/7, and at times can feel run down, burnt out and emotionally exhausted. This is why respite care exists. Respite care is for emergency, short and medium term round the clock care for someone who is unable to care for themselves. It allows Carers to have a much needed break to focus on their own mental and physical wellbeing, and creates a holiday environment for those being cared for.
